Choosing a web hosting company is an imperative decision. A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible in all around the World. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server owned or leased for use by clients, as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. There are so many companies in the world that provides Web Hosting Services at their owned server. Finding a cheap & reliable web host is not a simple task, so i've put
all the information you need in one place to help you make your
decision.
Here are some best host companies that gives you excellent hosting services :
InMotionHosting offers a broad range of services, from three different shared hosting plans to VPS through to dedicated hosting. The company ethos is
to provide a first-class service from well-trained staff without
cutting corners on support or overselling server space.
Getting
good response speed is a big selling point. As such, their packages are
mainly aimed at business and corporate users - people who can afford to
pay a little more for reliability and support.
InMotion Hosting
was founded in 2001 and is employee-owned. The company has a data centre
in downtown Los Angeles and a secondary location in Virginia Beach, VA
(the Los Angeles facility was the world’s first ever ‘green’ data

world’s number one green energy web hosting company. The company was
founded in 2006 with a goal to become the best green energy web hosting

Whilst Green Geeks is relatively new, founder and CEO, Trey Gardner,
has worked in the industry for nearly 15 years with companies such as iPowerWeb and Lunarpages.
After discovering that the web hosting industry is on track to become
one of the world’s biggest contributors to pollution, he decided to form
Green Geeks.
Green Geeks started by offering shared web hosting services with a
goal to attract small and medium sized businesses. It has since
introduced reseller, VPS and dedicated hosting for larger businesses.
Interestingly, Green Geeks also advertises an acquisitions programme for hosting companies who are looking to exit the business.
FatCow is a hosting service which appears to be entirely focused on shared hosting,
although it provides a wide range of services and support to complement

There
are two plans available, The Original FatCow Plan and The Minimoo. The
company offers a variety of professional services which can be added on
(at extra cost).
FatCow has been operating for well over 10 years now. The company
was founded in 1998 in Albuquerque in the USA but it has since been
bought by Endurance International who also own a number of other web
hosting companies, such as Bluehost.
Endurance International provides online solutions for 2 million
customers through 40 different brands, many of which they have acquired
over the last few years.
IPage is a web hosting company that specializes in shared hosting plans. They offer a range of freebies and bonuses on signup, and an unusual ‘Anytime’ money-back guarantee. Both of these seem to be their specialist area, along with shared web hosting.
The
company have been providing website hosting since 1998, and they
currently have one and a half million domains on their books with more
than a million websites hosted on their servers. They’re US-based but
have customers in 150 countries and have six offices worldwide (although
they’re not very clear on where these offices are located).
Originally founded by Thomas Gorny, iPage is now owned by the Endurance International Group: the same company that own FatCow, BlueHost
and other well-known web hosting providers. They mention on their site
that they purchase Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to offset their
carbon emissions.

previously developed and sold another hosting company, Dot5. True to
form, Phillips sold Just Host to the US-based Endurance International Group. That’s the same company that own Blue Host
and dozens of other web hosting companies. Just Host now has
headquarters in the US, the UK and Australia, plus a single data center in Illinois. It once claimed to be an Eco-friendly hosting company and
ran a Go Green programme, although little evidence of this exists on the
website at the moment.
8. HostGator
HostGator offer a broad range of services, but they’re undoubtedly best known for their well-priced shared hosting
plans. They offer three shared hosting services - Hatchling, Baby and
Business - and each one steps up the service options and support
provision. In addition, Host Gator offer reseller plans, VPS hosting and
dedicated servers, as well as an affiliate programme.

Florida, HostGator’s rapid growth lead them to a move to Texas in 2007.
They have a base in Houston and an office in Austin, plus an Indian arm
which you can find at http://hostgator.in. Additionally, Host Gator have
a third office in Brazil which manages http://www.hostgator.com.br.
They currently employ 200 people but are expecting to double this in the
next couple of years.
9. BlueHost
BlueHost are known for two primary hosting plans (low cost shared hosting
and reseller hosting), plus domain registrations. Founded in 2003 and
based in an impressive 50,000 square foot head office, CEO Matt Heaton
was in-post for eight years and oversaw much of the firm’s development,
both in terms of the business and the technical infrastructure. He
recently handed over the top job to Dan Handy, the former COO, in order
to concentrate on development.
BlueHost is part of a family that also includes FastDomain and HostMonster, founded in 2005 and 2006 respectively. The group of companies have now been purchased by Endurance International Group based in Boston, MA.
As
a company, BlueHost pride themselves on superb customer support (for
example, on their website, they boast a call waiting time of less than
30 seconds - a bold claim).
BlueHost is a good choice if you want
100% in-house services from a specialized team. Nothing is outsourced:
the company have their own fibre connections, their own data centers
spanning 20,000 square feet, and even their own custom Linux
kernel running on custom-built servers. This makes them an ideal
solution if you prefer to have one point of contact when you need help
and support.
10. HostMonster
HostMonster specializes in competitively-priced shared web hosting. The
team present their services around a simple package with the option to
upgrade and get additional features. The company was launched in 1996,
so that makes it a well-established web hosting company compared to some
newcomers.
HostMonster is an American company based in Provo, Utah. It is a sister company to BlueHost and FastDomain. Like its sister companies, HostMonster appears to have been acquired by the Endurance International Group, a huge web hosting organisation with over 2 million customers and 40 different hosting brands under one roof.
